Orthopaedic Braces

For the last 20 years we have been working together with the best orthopaedic surgeons in the world. Bill Cashman, who specialized in the USA in orthopaedic braces and Anthony McGuinness, a most outstanding pediatric surgeon, invited us to Cork.

Now we work with an excellent team of orthopaedic surgeons nationally and internationally. All our braces are custom made for the patient. Early mobilization with the support of an orthopaedic orthosis is extremely cost effective and patient friendly.

We are happy to discuss with you the type of brace that would be most suitable for your patient. Our orthoses are designed and based on sound bio-mechanical principles.

The most prescribed braces are:
Below knee fracture brace (Proximal Tibia Bearing)

The patient can walk with a normal shoe with a tibia fracture even when a section of the tibia or fibula is missing. Extremely good support after removal of external fixators.

Femur Fracture braces

Short braces for nailed femur fractures or weak hip replacements Long Ischial Weight Bearing braces for unstable fractures.

Ankle Foot Orthoses (AFO’s )

For patients who require artrodesis but are not surgical candidates. To reduce and prevent valgus, varus and equinis deformities developing

Knee Ankle Foot Orthoses (KAFO’s)

To control valgus, varus and hyperextension of the weak knee.

Knee braces

Support knee braces after ACL surgery.

Spinal (fracture) braces

Post operative spinal (fracture) braces, cervical (fracture) braces and scoliosis braces.

Hip Abduction Braces

Prevention of artificial hip dislocation after hip replacement surgery.
